Fees

What is included in the facility fee?

This is a good question. Things included in the fee are:

• use of the facilities for your labor, birth, and immediate postpartum
• birth kit
• towels
• all bedding
• use of birth tub for labor or birth

Things not included are:

•  Midwife’s fee
• medications
• herbs
• transport to hospital if necessary (to be determined by your midwife)
• other providers that may be called in (to be determined by your midwife)
• lab work
• any extra care as needed
• stay past 4-6 hours postpartum unless medically necessary as deemed by midwife

We are Out of Network providers with Aetna, United Health Care, Cigna and many other insurances. We are NOT providers with Medicaid, or any IHC insurance plan.

As as a patient with us, the labs and ultrasounds that you will get are covered by almost all insurances including all those mentioned above. If you have insurance we will provide you with a receipt for your payment, you can then submit this to your insurance for reimbursement.

The facility fee for birthing at the suites is:

$400 if a part of the Group Practice

$500 if you are delivering with an independent midwife.

We also wanted to let you know that we do barter and trade for those who have a skill that we are in need of. Things that have been traded are: piano lessons, yard work, repairs, furniture, computer skills, webpages, etc. . .
