Group Practice:

Offering Homebirth and Birth Suite care

Our group practice is a wonderful way to choose your care. Your prenatals will be rotated between a group of two midwives. This type of practice works well for our clients as they have the opportunity to know several great midwives and it widens the prenatal schedule for appointments. Your likelihood of having a canceled appointment due to another birth is very slim. You get a relaxed and rested midwife for your appointments and birth. If you choose this type of care we suggest that at some point you meet all of the midwives in the practice and get to know them so that you will feel comfortable with whoever ultimately attends your birth.

This option also helps our midwives be able to be better mothers to their own children. Midwives often have to miss their children’s birthdays and family events as they are on call all of the time. In a small group like this the midwife can avoid burn-out while caring for her family and you as a pregnant mother.

Birthing Your Way Midwives:  $1850
You can choose a homebirth or a birth at the suites with the group practice. The fee includes your standard prenatal care, the birth, and postpartum visits. There is a separate charge for the suites. You will always have a licensed midwife at the time of your baby’s birth, if one of the DEM midwives is on call a LDEM will join her for the birth.
